Former President Barack Obama is up for an award at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The 44th president is nominated for his work on Our Great National Parks, a docuseries on Netflix. He and four others are up for the outstanding narrator award.
The nominations were announced Tuesday, and the show will be held Sept. 12.

Alongside Obama, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, David Attenborough, W. Kamau Bell, and Lupita Nyong’o are nominated for the Emmy.
This isn’t the first time the former president has been recognized for his contributions to entertainment. He already boasts two spoken-word Grammy awards for his work on the audiobooks Dreams From My Father and The Audacity of Hope.
If he does snag the award in September, he’ll be halfway to the coveted EGOT status, which occurs when someone wins an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award. Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Legend, and Jennifer Hudson are notable EGOT winners.

Our Great National Parks is a five-part series in which national parks across the United States, Indonesia, Kenya, Chile, and more are explored. The series was produced by the Obamas’ own production company, Higher Ground Productions. The first episode, “A World of Wonder,” is what was nominated for the Emmy.
