Activist Greta Thunberg was arrested in a protest in the Netherlands on Saturday.

Thunberg was among 400 arrested in their attempt to block the A12 motorway in The Hague in protest of Dutch tax breaks to fossil fuel companies. After she was transported from the scene, Thunberg posed for pictures in a law enforcement vehicle flashing a “V” sign for victory.

Law enforcement was able to intervene before the protesters blocked traffic even though some individuals were able to sit on the road.

“We are in a planetary emergency, and we are not going to stand by and let people lose their lives and livelihood and be forced to become climate refugees when we can do something,” she told the crowd at the protest before being detained.

This was one of three times police have arrested Thunberg during a variety of protests she has participated in since October. Thunberg has traveled across Europe to advocate the environment. She was most recently arrested last month during a protest outside the Swedish Parliament building.

In February, a British judge cleared Thunberg, 21, along with four others, of violating a public order during the Oily Money Out protest in October outside the InterContinental Hotel in London, England.

Thunberg has yet to be convicted of any crime amid her protests.
