Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) are holding a press conference Wednesday morning to discuss House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’s (D-NY) announcement that Democrats would come to House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) aid if a speakership ouster vote were held.

“Mike Johnson is officially the Democrat Speaker of the House,” Greene said in a post on X. “Tomorrow morning, @RepThomasMassie and I will hold a press conference on Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ endorsement of Mike Johnson for Speaker.”
Greene, Massie, and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) are maneuvering to remove Johnson, mainly over his push for a $95 billion foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. However, they are split as to how to go about it, with Greene favoring a quick approach and Massie favoring a slower approach.
