Amber Rose, model and rapper, surprised fans with a post on Instagram sharing her support for former President Donald Trump to her over 24 million followers.
“Trump 2024,” she said Monday night in a post with a photo of her, the former president, and first lady Melania Trump.
Several fans shared their shock to see the photo and campaign endorsement.
“This goes against everything you’ve preached,” a fan wrote in response.
“Lol I better never see you speak on women’s rights again,” another fan said.
One fan responded, “Imagine being an ‘advocate’ for women’s rights and endorsing Trump and his party who reversed Roe V Wade. Wild.”
Rose is known for founding SlutWalk, a movement calling for an end to rape culture, including victim blaming and “slut shaming” of sexual assault victims.
She also posted on her Instagram a picture of a Trump-themed cereal box.
Rose previously dated rapper Kanye West from 2008 to 2010. West had openly supported Donald Trump in 2020 for his presidential bid.
Her endorsement is a major reversal from her previous comments about Donald Trump.
In 2016, Rose had told Us Weekly that she was planning to leave the country over Donald Trump’s win.
“I can’t even think about it! I’m moving, I’m out! I can’t. And I am taking my son with me!” she said.
The television personality reportedly responded to The Shade Room, a popular celebrity news outlet, about her decision.
“Y’all think Biden cares about black ppl??? Sad. Do ur research. I did. I’ll ALWAYS put women first. Y’all want biological men in women’s sports,” she said.

Rose added, “Trump supports the most reasonable compromise on abortion. Stop being brainwashed cuz WE’RE ppl of color. Make your own decisions.”
Rose’s support comes as polls have shown waning black support for President Joe Biden. She has been open about her views on race identity politics and her own heritage.
