Ricky Martin‘s nephew has dropped claims that the singer harassed him after refusing a romantic relationship, allegations Martin has denied.
A judge in Puerto Rico had granted a temporary restraining order for the nephew earlier in the month when the claims were initially filed with a San Juan court.
Martin’s nephew dropped the claims “voluntarily” Thursday, and the case is closed, a judicial spokesperson told the Associated Press.

“The petitioner ceased his claims voluntarily; therefore the case was archived and no further procedures are required,” the spokesperson said.
Martin released a statement in English and Spanish from his lawyers after the claims were dropped in a tweet posted Thursday.
“This was never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with absolutely nothing to substantiate them,” said the statement from Martin’s lawyers, Joaquin Monserrate Matienzo, Carmelo Davila, and Harry Massanet Pastrana.

The nephew had reportedly alleged he had been in a romantic relationship with Martin but broke up and that Martin could not accept being apart. Martin has denied all claims made against him.
