There is no lack of polls in an election season. Some track the presidential race on a daily basis, others President Joe Biden’s approval ratings.

But one to watch is the tracking of “elites” by Scott Rasmussen’s RMG Research. The one-percenters really aren’t like the rest of us, and Rasmussen’s results show that the urban, wealthy class doesn’t think like us, either.

Just consider their reaction to this question: “Would it be better or worse for America if only people with a college degree were allowed to vote?” Some 69% of elites said it would be better. Overall, among all voters, just 15% said it would be better.

Rasmussen said, “This is a clear rejection of the founding ideals of self-governance. It is clearly a rejection of the idea that governments derive their authority only from the consent of the governed. And on top of that, I would argue that this shows an incredible faith in ‘credentialism.’ You know, if you have the right credentials, we should listen to you. If you don’t, you’re deplorable, and we don’t need to pay attention at all.”
