Members of Congress took photos with 50 Cent during the rapper’s visit to the U.S. Capitol, where he discussed the alcohol business with lawmakers Wednesday.

Among the Congressional members who boasted about meeting 50 Cent were Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). The rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, also met with civil rights attorney Ben Crump and is seeking to increase minority representation in the spirits industry.

“Guess who I got to see!” Luna wrote on X. “One of my favorite republicans! He doesn’t want to become 25 cent.”

Luna’s reference to Jackson not wanting to become “25 cent” could be a callback to a claim the rapper made in 2020 when he said he would vote for then-President Donald Trump. The rapper said he could become “20 Cent” under Democrat Joe Biden’s plan to raise taxes.

Jackson has waded into the realm of politics in the past, criticizing Biden on social media for going on vacation last year and telling him to “get the f*** up.” He also slammed New York City’s plan to give $53 million to immigrants earlier this year, suggesting that Trump could be “the answer.”

In April, Jackson announced the opening of his new film studio in Shreveport, Louisiana, which he described as “a beacon of inspiration and creativity.” The studio, G-Unit Film & Television, was created in 2003 and has already released several films and television shows, including the documentary 50 Cent: The New Breed and the Starz television series Power.
