The White House has been quick to push back on footage of President Joe Biden appearing to wander aimlessly at the G7 summit, accusing outlets of purposefully framing the footage to make him look bad.

But that didn’t stop former President Donald Trump from taking advantage of the footage on Friday night.

“He doesn’t know where the hell he is,” the former president said Friday evening at a rally celebrating his 78th birthday. “The guy is lost!”

Numerous outlets reported Biden was wandering around in a daze following a skydiving demonstration at the summit in Italy.

But Andrew Bates, the White House senior deputy press secretary, was quick to point out that the viral clip had been framed to crop Biden out of talking to another pilot. Likewise, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak confirmed that the president was going to greet one of the skydivers who had already landed and a pilot.

Regardless of the framing of the clip, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni can be seen ushering Biden back to the larger group of leaders to meet the skydivers together and pose for a photograph. And Trump was quick to point that interaction out too.

“She said, ‘Turn around, you fool!’” Trump said during his rally in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The skydiving gaffe comes as longstanding concerns about Biden’s cognitive health have intensified. In March 2024, special counsel Robert Hur’s report stated he found the president’s memory “fuzzy,” “hazy,” and “poor.” According to the report, Biden was unable to remember basic life events, such as when his son Beau died or when he served as vice president. The White House has refused to release a cognitive health summary, stating that the president is “active” and “robust.”
