Candace Cameron Bure earned high praise for the way she set the record straight after JoJo Siwa took to TikTok, calling the Fuller House actress the “rudest celeb.”
While participating in a social media challenge in which people name celebrities for various categories, Siwa flashed a photo of Bure as her “rudest celebrity.”
Bure said she was “shocked” by Siwa’s TikTok post and immediately reached out. “I called her, and we had a great conversation,” Bure said in an Instagram video.

The Fuller House star explained that Siwa admitted her feelings were hurt nearly a decade ago.
Bure said, “She said, ‘You know, I met you at the Fuller House premiere, and I was 11 years old. And we were all on the red carpet, and I had come up to you, and I said, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ And you said to me, ‘Not right now.’ And then proceeded to do what you were doing, and take pictures with other people on the red carpet.'”
Bure said she apologized and that the two celebrities “had all the feels, and it was all good.” She went on to stress the importance of choosing words carefully.
“No matter how many followers you have, even a 10-second trending TikTok video can do damage because our words matter and our actions matter,” Bure said.
Several celebrities have since commented on Bure’s Instagram video, noting her class and calling her an inspiration.
“You are officially my spirit animal! So eloquently put,” Tori Spelling said. “I’m sitting here crying watching this video. Rings soooooo true. You are truly an inspiration!”
Personal trainer and fitness guru Kira Stokes told Bure no one should ever debate the fact that she is “the most kind.”
“ALWAYS a class act, my friend,” Stokes also commented.

Bure called her video explanation the “Full House lesson for the day” and said she hopes everyone can move on with grace for one another.
