Elon Musk, the owner of X who has called himself a “free speech absolutist,” will be joining former President Donald Trump for his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.

Musk confirmed that he would be in attendance through an X post.

Despite a voting history for Democrats and voting for President Joe Biden in 2020, Musk has gravitated toward Trump, expressing his disdain for Democrats for their “woke” politics, such as their embracing of transgender healthcare policies for children and the party’s weak stance on illegal immigration.

Musk created America PAC, a super PAC, in May to support Trump’s campaign and several key House races.

However, Musk didn’t endorse Trump until after the assassination attempt on the former president’s life in July.

Just days after the assassination attempt, Musk announced that he would personally pledge $45 million per month to the super PAC focused on getting Trump elected. Musk later walked back that claim, saying he never intended to spend that much per month and that his support was “at a much lower level.”

Musk also hosted Trump on X for a live interview on the social media platform.

Trump will also be joined by the family members of Corey Comperatore, who was killed during the July 13 rally.
