While in the state, Pence will campaign for several politicians running for state office and be the keynote speaker at a multicounty GOP event.
The Pence endorsement has failed to garner the influence of his old running mate, former President Donald Trump. When their endorsees went face to face in elections in both Arizona and Wisconsin, Trump came out on top, with both Kari Lake and Tim Michels beating their Pence-endorsed counterparts.
The Washington Examiner reported Saturday that Pence would be attending the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 19 alongside Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).
The fair is known as a stop for politicians with lofty aspirations, especially presidential ambitions. Pence has previously visited the fair while campaigning with Trump ahead of the duo’s victory.

Similarly, her endorsements have mostly failed when facing those of Trump, with the notable exception of her home state, where Rep. Nancy Mace succeeded against her primary opponent, despite drawing the ire of the former president.
