Jean-Pierre is certain to comment on the California crisis after fires killed at least ten people in the state and displaced thousands. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) administration, along with Los Angeles officials, have faced intense criticism over the crisis.
President Joe Biden announced on Thursday that the federal government would “cover 100%” of the fire damage cost in the Golden State for 180 days.
