Lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret is responding to a song about the company that has been burning up social media and now the Billboard charts.

Jax, a songwriter on TikTok with more than 11 million followers, said she got the idea for the viral tune after a girl she babysits visited the chain and left crying hysterically after being told a swimsuit she tried on made her look “too fat and too flat.”

Jax, who also admits to having suffered from “eating problems” in the past, says that moment inspired her to write the song, in which she says she “knows Victoria’s Secret” was created “by an old man who lives in Ohio making money off of girls like me.”

The song became an overnight sensation on TikTok and raced up the iTunes charts before landing on the radio in early August.

It also quickly got the attention of the company, leading Victoria’s Secret’s CEO to post a letter to followers on social media.

“We make no excuses for our past and we’re committed to regaining your trust,” the company wrote.

Jax responded by saying she didn’t want to be “the face of any company’s ‘we’ve changed’ ad.”

She is now encouraging followers to reach out to Victoria’s Secret about how the brand can improve.

Coincidentally, the song’s release coincided with a Hulu documentary that accused the company of having ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
