FETTERMAN BEMOANS DEMOCRATIC PROTEST DURING TRUMP SPEECH

Trump gave a one-hour and around 39-minute address to Congress on Tuesday night, the longest such speech in modern presidential history. On Wednesday night, he reflected upon the occasion and Democrats’ roles in it.

“The Democrats should lose the Midterms based on their behavior at last night’s Joint Address to Congress,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “All Republicans must use their behavior on men in women’s sports, their very dangerous Open Border policy, High Energy and Taxes, and much else.”

Republicans currently hold the House with a 218-214 majority and hold the Senate with a 53-47 majority.

Trump cited Democrats’ largely unwillingness to support his address. Some Democrats applauded at certain points, such as when 13-year-old DJ Daniel was named an honorary Secret Service agent.

“Also, Republicans should utilize the footage provided on the total disrespect they showed to all of those that were honored that night, including young ladies who were killed by illegal migrants, people with terminal cancer, etc,” the president added. “They didn’t even have the common courtesy to stand, smile, or applaud. This could be, on analyzing the full tape of this Historic Event, your full CAMPAIGN TO VICTORY! In other words, Republicans can take what happened last night, and win any Race in the Country.”

TRACKING WHAT DOGE IS DOING ACROSS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Cook Political Report is giving Republicans an edge in winning the House, with 18 seats rated as toss-ups and 10 of those being seats held by Democrats.

Republicans also have an edge in the Senate with the only toss-up seats being blue at the moment — Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) is up for reelection, and the Michigan Senate seat will be open following Sen. Gary Peters’s (D-MI) decision not to run for reelection.
