Eric Trump is the child who is least like his father, former President Donald Trump, and he often seems to be “pretty scared” of his older brother, Donald Trump Jr., according to a documentarian who spent much time filming the family.
After spending months with the Trump family in the lead-up to the 2020 election, filmmaker Alex Holder witnessed the behind-the-scenes interactions among the Trump siblings. While Eric Trump seemed to be the friendliest of the group, Donald Trump Jr. didn’t seem fond of Holder at all, the documentarian told followers during a Reddit Q&A on Tuesday.

“Eric seemed to be pretty scared of his older brother,” Holder wrote. “Eric was the friendliest. I don’t think Don Jr liked me very much. (Not sure why..!).”
When asked why Eric Trump would be afraid of his older brother, Holder replied, “Have you seen Don Jr???”
Holder spent a lot of time with the family filming for his three-part documentary series Unprecedented, which aired on Discovery+ in July. Before the series was released, Holder turned over some of the raw footage to investigators on the Jan. 6 committee after receiving a subpoena.
Holder was also called to testify before lawmakers in a closed-door meeting in late June, emerging as a possible key witness to investigations into the former president’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

The filmmaker was later contacted by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in Georgia for any footage Holder has of the former president, particularly any comments he made about Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, both Republicans who refused the former president’s efforts to overturn election results in the state. Holder indicated he would cooperate with the investigation, according to CNN.
The Fulton County investigation centers on a call Donald Trump made to Raffensperger after the election asking him to “find” 11,780 votes to flip the state in his favor. Trump has maintained it was a “perfect call” and that he did nothing wrong. Prosecutors are also investigating the resignation of the U.S. attorney in Atlanta on Jan. 4, 2021, heavily disputed claims former Trump personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani made before the Georgia Senate about the election, and a call between Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Raffensperger.
