NASA’s Artemis 1 launch is scheduled to take place around 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time Monday despite a hydrogen fuel leak interrupting the launch countdown.
The leak along with thunderstorms in the Cape Canaveral, Florida area have caused the highly-anticipated launch to be push later into the morning than originally anticipated.

The launch is part of the U.S. mission to return to the moon for the first time in nearly five decades, with Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff in attendance for the historic launch.
