One of the fugitives wanted for allegedly conducting a stabbing massacre in Canada was found dead Monday, and officials said the injuries do not appear to be self-inflicted.

Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore, the commanding officer for the Saskatchewan Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said Monday that Damien Sanderson was found dead after leading authorities on a manhunt. His injuries, which she said were “visible,” are not believed to be of a self-inflicted nature. The date and time for examination of his body have yet to be determined.

His brother, Myles Sanderson, is still at large. Blackmore advised that he may have sustained injuries and warned he might try to find medical attention. He is still considered “armed and dangerous” and should not be approached.
