The newly launched conservative, invite-only dating app The Right Stuff is prompting users for their opinion on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and allows them to display their feelings on the event within their profile.
When users begin crafting their profile on the app, they are able to select a few premade prompts. Many of them are average icebreakers, such as travel stories or biggest risks. However, some of them deviate from the standards set by apps such as Hinge and Bumble.
“January 6th was,” prompts the app, funded by tech billionaire Peter Thiel and founded by former Trump White House staffers John McEntee and Daniel Huff.

The Right Stuff did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
Several Republican campaigns were reliant on Thiel throughout their primary elections, most notably Senate candidates J.D. Vance in Ohio and Blake Masters in Arizona.
“I speak to Trump occasionally and around a year ago I mentioned I was working on the app. He thought it was a great idea. He was super excited about it and loved the name,” McEntee wrote in a Sept. 6 article.
Former Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s sister, Ryann, signed on to promote the app before its launch, featuring in a July video.
“No pronouns necessary,” she said, fawning over the app.
McEnany is a digital marketing and brand communications strategist at the America First Policy Institute and was previously a social media strategist on Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign.
According to its website, “The Right Stuff was created for conservatives to connect in authentic and meaningful ways. Other dating apps have gone woke. We bring people together with shared values and similar passions.”
On Friday, the app released a video featuring several young women discussing their dating goals.
“The wait is finally over!” it wrote.
“I like the alpha male vibe,” one woman says.
