Those who receive Social Security benefits only need to wait 11 more days till their monthly payments worth $1,657 get sent out.
Social Security recipient’s payment will be sent out according to birth dates, beginning on Oct. 12. People who are born between Oct. 1 and 10 will receive their payments first. Those who have a birthday that falls after that date will have to wait at least another week before receiving their checks, according to a calendar released by the Social Security Administration.

It is also important for recipients to note the difference between social security benefits and SSI, which are two separate programs. Social security benefits are largely based on one’s earnings throughout their lives and have no income or resource limit.
