Archaeologists Believe They Have Found Burned Ruins of Biblical Sodom and Gomorrah

A team of archaeologists believes they have discovered the sites of the infamous Sodom and Gomorrah, the cities God destroyed with fire from heaven, as recorded in the Bible.

Sodom is first mentioned in Genesis 13 as being in the Jordan Valley, and as the place where Abraham’s nephew Lot settled in approximately 1900 B.C.

“Now the men of Sodom were wicked, great sinners against the Lord,” the Bible says.
