As police departments around the country are dealing with a shortage of officers, one in Texas is taking a viral video approach to bring in new members.

The Fort Worth Police Department modeled its ad after what many car dealers use.

“We’ve got your patrol vehicles, we’ve got your Explorers, we’ve got your Tahoes, and we even got your F-150 Responders! Say what?” Officer Brad “Big B” Perez says.

The ad also features the department’s SWAT team and officers on horses, bikes, and motorcycles.

The roughly 2 1/2 minute video speaks not just to rookies, but to seasoned officers as well.

“We take trade-ins!” a voiceover in the ad says.

And it appears to be working.

“We have received over 300 applications from people wanting to join the department,” Sgt. Amelia Heise told the Washington Examiner.

“Right now, a lot of North Texas police departments are recruiting. We knew we needed to do something to make us stand out and get people’s attention while also letting people see all of the great things FWPD has to offer,” Heise added.
