Alyssa Farah Griffin is declaring former President Donald Trump a “loser.”
“This man is a loser. He lost 2020. He’s losing us seats that were winnable this time,” the former Trump administration White House director of strategic communications said during CNN’s election coverage on Tuesday night.
“The fact is, this is not an Obama-style shellacking by any means,” Griffin said of the midterm elections. “You can’t really call this a red wave, even though we still have some outstanding votes.”

According to her, it’s past time for the Republican Party to reflect and move on from Trump. “Are they going to continue to nominate poor-quality candidates to appease Donald Trump?” she asked, noting that “he is right now over on his Truth Social site celebrating the demise of Republicans who lost.”
She explained that he criticized retired Brig. Gen. Don Bolduc, who became the Republican Senate candidate in New Hampshire “solely because of Donald Trump.” Bolduc lost his race to incumbent Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH).
Further, “He is celebrating [Joe O’Dea], a moderate, losing in Colorado,” Griffin said. O’Dea was similarly bested by incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO).
She once again urged Republicans to look ahead to new candidates and leaders, leaving the Trump era behind.

Ahead of the midterm elections, Griffin slammed Trump on The View, where she is a co-host. According to her, he does not care about advancing the Republican Party, only himself.
