President Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi had a private wedding that was closed to the media Saturday.
The event was the 19th wedding ceremony performed at the White House, and a family luncheon immediately followed, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, with a reception planned in the evening. First lady Jill Biden’s Communications Director Elizabeth Alexander confirmed the Biden family is paying for all the events.
“It has been a joy to watch Naomi grow, discover who she is, and carve out such an incredible life for herself. Now, we are filled with pride to see her choose Peter [Neal] as her husband, and we’re honored to welcome him to our family. We wish them days full of laughter and a love that grows deeper with every passing year,” the president and first lady said in a statement.
