Comedian and late-night talk show host Bill Maher ripped liberals for their sudden acceptance of Pope Leo XIV after an ongoing feud between the pontiff and President Donald Trump.
“I love hypocritical America,” Maher said on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday. “Liberals suddenly love the pope.”
Maher said the pope is a guy who “does exorcisms, doesnt believe in gay marriage, no women priests. But now, because he’s feuding with Trump, MSNBC loves this guy.”
