Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., revealed her breast cancer diagnosis to the public on Wednesday.
“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer,” she posted on Instagram. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan. I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me.”
“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she added.
Vanessa Trump thanked her 136,000 followers for their “kindness and support” and asked for privacy during this time. She is 48 years old.
The mother of five of President Donald Trump‘s grandchildren, Vanessa Trump is currently dating professional golfer Tiger Woods. In late March, Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Vanessa Trump and Donald Trump Jr. finalized their divorce in 2018. They were married for 13 years.

She is not the only one in the president’s inner circle to be met with a recent diagnosis.
In March, Trump announced White House chief of staff Susie Wiles had “early stage” breast cancer. She continues to serve in the Trump administration despite the diagnosis.
