President Donald Trump‘s eldest granddaughter, Kai Trump, appeared Thursday on Fox & Friends for her second solo spot on the program ahead of a momentous year as she expects to attend the University of Miami in the fall for her freshman term.

Trump became an influencer and social media personality after she was propelled into the national spotlight when she delivered a speech about her grandfather at the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Since then, Trump launched her social media presence, creating a YouTube channel and frequently posting TikTok videos offering behind-the-scenes peeks into her life as a member of the Trump family. She has over 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 3.7 million followers on TikTok.

After committing to the University of Miami for golf, Trump said she had the time to build up the social media presence she always wanted.

“I always wanted to do social media, to be honest with you,” Trump said. “I’ve always wanted to be a YouTuber and get, kind of, a social media presence … then I finally had the opportunity around the time of the RNC to do it, and I had the time because I committed to the University of Miami and had gotten that out of the way.”

“Once I had the time for it, I just started doing it and haven’t looked back since,” Trump added.

Thursday’s interview marked her fourth appearance on Fox News and her second on the network’s morning program.

She was joined by family members for her other two appearances on the network outside of Fox & Friends. Trump’s appearance on The Story With Martha MacCallum was with her father, Donald Trump Jr., following her speech at the 2024 RNC. In November 2025, she went on her aunt Lara Trump’s show to discuss golf and committing to the University of Miami.

Following up on her career ambitions, Trump was asked if she wanted to follow her grandfather’s footsteps and get into politics, to which she said, “No, never.”

“No, no politics,” Trump said. “Not for me.”

The president’s granddaughter also opened up about the medical status of her mother, Vanessa Trump.

Vanessa, also Trump Jr.’s ex-wife, publicly revealed in May that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

“She’s doing better,” Trump said. “Obviously, radiation takes a toll on your body, but she’s doing better, feeling better. She’s been a little tired, but she’s a fighter. … She’ll be fine.”

When asked about how she is preparing for college, Trump said she is practicing golf and spending time with family and friends.

“It’s like the last three weeks we have with each other,” Trump said. “It’s like our final hurrah together.”

Trump, who grew up in Florida with her four siblings, said she is “a little nervous” going off to college and being away from her family.

“I’m ready for the next chapter, and I love my siblings,” Trump said. “I’m not far from them. I’m like an hour and a half away.”
