A 22-year-old Buffalo woman was found dead Saturday after a lethal blizzard trapped her inside her car for at least 18 hours.
Anndel Taylor’s corpse was reportedly discovered by emergency officials a day after she told her family the snow was piling up on her way home from work.

The young woman had been updating her family via texts in their group chat, family members said, and she had even sent a video of snow piling on and around her vehicle.
Eventually, Taylor called 911, but emergency officials were unable to get to her in time, her family said.
Her mother said Taylor was planning to sleep in her car to wait out the storm, the report noted.
“I feel like everybody that tried to get to her got stuck. Fire department, police, everybody got stuck,” Tomeshia Brown, Taylor’s sister, said.
“Why didn’t they have chains on their tires? This is a state that is known for snow.”
A cause of death has not been confirmed, but Taylor’s mother believes her daughter fell victim to carbon monoxide poisoning.
“The car was running, and the snow was still coming, so it blocked the pipes, the exhaust pipe,” she said. “Then, after the car cut off, that’s when she iced up.”
Christmas was beyond difficult for Taylor’s family, Shawnequa Brown, her other sister, said.

At least 28 people in upstate New York have died as a result of the blizzard, which New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called the “blizzard of the century.”
