President Donald Trump spoke at the Pentagon memorial event, honoring the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
“In those harrowing days after the attacks, we saw the authentic spirit of our nation,” Trump said. “We were all New Yorkers that day. Every one of us. We were all New Yorkers, but we were also all Americans. We were all family. We were all patriots. The enemy might destroy what American hands had built, but we could not touch the fight and the fire and the love in our great American hearts.”
