The suspect in an attack at a major train station in Paris that injured at least six people was “neutralized,” France’s interior minister said Wednesday.
The attack happened in the morning at the Gare du Nord central railway station in Paris. “Thank you to the police for their effective and courageous response,” Gérald Darmanin added in his statement on Twitter.

Reuters reported six people were attacked by a man with a knife, leaving one person with major injuries, according to police, who added that the suspect was shot several times by officers and then taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The attack comes less than three weeks after three people were killed and another three were injured at a Kurdish cultural center in Paris. The Paris prosecutor’s office opened an investigation for murder and attempted murder.
