Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” singer Shania Twain shared in an interview with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) on Thursday how impressed and “inspired” she is with drag queens.

GLAAD’s podcast host Anthony Allen Ramos talked to Twain about how her new single “Giddy Up!” is going viral, with drag queens dancing to her song on TikTok.

Twain responded by calling herself an “all-inclusive person.”

“We need more love in the world, not rejection, criticism, and judgment,” she said.

“When I got into the industry, I started meeting a lot of artists like RuPaul,” she said as she described how she became friends with and worked with LGBT artists and designers. “It just is a part of my life, a part of my career, a part of my support and creative team.”

Ramos told Twain that drag queen shows are “under attack” and asked her to remind his audience “how fun drag shows are.”

“Drag shows are so fun. I’ve been to a couple of drag shows, big ones in Las Vegas. Obviously RuPaul’s Drag Race!” she said of her experience as a guest judge on RuPaul’s television show.

“I so admire the talent there. First of all, it takes a lot of courage. I mean, fashion in itself takes courage. You’re taking on a lot,” she added.

The country star gushed about the inspiration drag queens are with their fashion and beauty skills.

“The ability to put their own makeup on and do such a beautiful job. I’ve learned a lot from drag queens. I watched their tutorials because, no, I’ve never seen such transformation in some of these talents that their faces go through … It’s very impressive, and their fashion, I don’t know, I’m very inspired by it,” she said.

Last year during Pride Month, the singer wrote on Instagram how much she appreciated the LGBT community.

“The LGBTQ+ community has impacted my life in such a beautifully meaningful way and I’m deeply grateful for your love and support. I stand with you, forever and for always.”

Twain is on a promotional music tour for her sixth album Queen of Me, released from Republic Records.
