A Missouri pastor said he stopped gunmen from hurting his church’s congregation by praying for them.
Earlier this month, pastor Marquaello Futrell was in the middle of preaching a Sunday morning message at All Creation Northview Holiness Family Church in Ferguson, Missouri, when a group of men entered the church.

“We believe that they were intending to rob us, do some harm,” Futrell told The Ingraham Angle. “We believe God is the greatest power. We cannot be defeated, so I had those instincts. I engaged them and we prayed for them, and they knew that they were being recorded.”
“I had my media team put the cameras on them knowing that possibly the police were on the way,” Futrell added. “We found out later when one of the guys lifted his hands that the tattoo on his hand was actually one of the guys that had just hours before committed a robbery at a convenience store.”
Futrell, who has experience in law enforcement, said he knew he had to keep his congregants calm.

He credited the Holy Spirit for helping him navigate the situation.
“A lot of people really didn’t know what was going on,” the pastor added. “Many did and we had our children’s ministry on lockdown. Many of the congregants were just thankful that I was able to navigate them through that process with the help of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost.”
