Minnesota Vikings star K.J. Osborn is being praised as a hero after the wide receiver helped save a man from a burning car Sunday.
The incident occurred Sunday night when the 25-year-old NFL star was in an Uber traveling home from a workout in Austin, Texas, and the driver pointed out that a vehicle had burst into flames, according to a report.

“My Uber driver just starts going crazy,” Osborn said. “He’s like, ‘Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!’ I look up, and I’m wondering what’s all the fuss about … He’s like, ‘This guy crashed,’ and I look to my right and there’s a car, if you were to picture it, under a bridge’s pillars. His car is head-on. He hit the pillar and his car is in flames.”
Recognizing the situation, Osborn, his Uber driver, and two other people went to check out the scene and call for help.
Osborn noticed the severity of the situation and took immediate action, he said.
“I’m like, ‘No, we got to go save this guy,'” Osborn said.
His driver ran over to the burning car, and the others followed suit.
“[The car is] in flames. He’s got blood on him. He’s bleeding. He’s kinda, you know, obviously out of it,” Osborn said, recalling seeing the man trapped in the car.

Eventually, the group pulled him out and dragged him to safety, and emergency officials arrived to transport the injured man to a local hospital.
“The police officers got all our info and everything, and they came back and told us, ‘You saved that man’s life,'” according to Osborn, who called the man’s survival “the greatest blessing.”
