Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams let her fans know that she is “comfortable” talking about politics during a Memorial Day weekend performance.
According to the “Misery Business” singer, she doesn’t want anything to do with people who support Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is running for president in 2024.

“I’ll be happy to tell you I’m very f***ing comfortable talking politics,” she is seen telling the Atlantic City, New Jersey crowd in a video. “If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you’re f***ing dead to me. Is that comfortable enough for anyone?”
The crowd can be heard cheering after Williams’s statement.
The 34-year-old singer and her bandmates were performing at the 2023 Adjacent Music Festival.
Previously, Williams spoke out against two Tennessee laws restricting public drag performances and transgender procedures on minors.

“Drag is not a crime. Gender-affirming health care for all, including our youth, is a necessity,” she posted on Instagram earlier this year. “Once again our state has passed two regressive and unfathomably harmful bills.”
DeSantis announced his presidential campaign last week. He currently trails front-runner former President Donald Trump in a 2024 Republican primary. DeSantis has garnered the support of 22% of potential Republican primary voters, while Trump boasts 56%, per Morning Consult.
