Actor, film producer, and author Kirk Cameron slammed the White House Pride Month 2023 festivities, which included a transgender rights activist going topless.
“This is the kind of immorality and disrespect that characterizes this sad and confused group of people,” Cameron told Jesse Watters Primetime. “And dragging kids into this evil morass is criminal. And I see that as I’m going through public libraries doing story hours for kids.”

“A little lesson from history,” Cameron added. “Joe Biden raised the pride flag in violation of U.S. flag protocol. George Washington raised the humility flag during his presidency as the commander in chief of the continental army in 1775. He raised the flag of humility with the phrase an appeal to heaven. And if we want to get America out of this mess and on the right track, we’ve got to replace pride, which is all about me, with humility, which is about God and one another.”
Cameron suggested that the LGBT ideologies are a “corrupted cult” from which children must be rescued.
“Public schools have become their church where our children are daily indoctrinated, and parents are dogmatically commanded to sacrifice their little hearts and minds on the altar of wokeism while we bring our tithes and offerings in the forms of taxes,” Cameron said. “Parents need to rescue their kids from this corrupted cult before their progressive priest circumcise them and go all the way and castrate them through a gender transition surgery.”
In an effort to help families push back against “the storm of wokeism that appears to be sweeping the nation,” Cameron is amid a multi-city nationwide story hour tour with publisher Brave Books as he stops at libraries to read his faith-based children’s books, As You Grow and Pride Comes Before the Fall.
Cameron’s newest book, Pride Comes Before the Fall, was released on June 1.
He said the book’s premise is the Bible verse Proverbs 16:18, which says, “Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before the fall.”

“It’s better to be humble with the lowly than to share plunder with the proud,” Cameron explained. “Kids need to understand that pride is the pregnant mother that gives birth to all forms of evil because it’s about myself and about me. Humility is about others, and that’s where their blessing is.”
The actor, film producer, and author told the Washington Examiner that he plans to continue writing a children’s book series about seven deadly sins, which includes pride along with “greed, gluttony, sloth, wrath, envy, and lust.”
