Likely Michigan voters reported this week that they nearly equally disapprove of both President Joe Biden and 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The EPIC-MRA poll, taken between June 8 and 14, included some 600 people who were mainly white and between the ages of 35 and 64. Only 39% found Biden favorable, and even fewer, 34%, found Trump favorable. Biden had an unfavorable rating from 52% of the respondents while Trump had 57%.

When respondents were asked how well Biden has performed during his first term as president, only 9% reported he’d been “excellent” and 20% thought he’d been “pretty good.” Another 69% gave Biden a negative rating for his performance.

Still, when asked if the 2024 presidential election came between Biden and Trump, the two candidates split the vote exactly at 44% each. A little more than 10% remained undecided.
