Authorities confirmed the capture of an escaped prisoner from Pennsylvania, who is now in police custody.
Michael Burham 34, was on the run for nine-days after he escaped from jail in Warren, where he was being held on $1 million bail related to burglary, kidnapping, and other charges.

Pennsylvania State Police were able to locate Burham after receiving several tips, and responded to a wooded area that was providing Burham coverage before he was captured without incident. More than 200 state, federal, and local officers participated in the manhunt, and provided a $22,000 reward to help solicit tips.
“He came out in the open and was spotted by an individual who called it in,” Lt. Col. George Bivens, the deputy commissioner of Operations for the Pennsylvania State Police said in a press conference Saturday.
Burham originally escaped July 6 by climbing on top of workout equipment in the rooftop recreation room and squeezing through a hole at the top of the caged exercise area, according to the Warren County Commissioner Jeff Eggleston. Then, Burham used bedsheets tied together to drop down to the ground from the roof.

Prison officials estimate it took Burham 10 seconds to escape, so he was able to evade guards even though they were aware of his absence within seconds.
Bivens confirmed that the security camera footage reported previously to be Burham, was not in fact him.
