Pennsylvania authorities confirmed the deaths of at least three people following severe flooding as search and rescue efforts remain ongoing.
Authorities said the bodies of two women and one man were recovered in the Washington Crossing area in Upper Makefield Township Saturday.

Officials in Bucks County initiated rescue efforts earlier the same morning after around five inches of rain made landfall in the region.
Local media reports say the county coroner has, so far, confirmed at least three deaths, and said the bodies of those victims were located outside of their vehicles on a road where flood waters may have risen to as high as five feet.
The Bucks Co Coroner Ofc says at least 3 ppl died after roads flooded from torrential rain. It happened in the area of Upper Makefield Twp just before 7p. The victims are adults found outside their cars. We’re told the water level was about 5 ft above the ground. @CBSPhiladelphia

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) has since provided residents impacted by the flooding with information about how to seek out in-person assistance, as he relayed in a tweet Saturday morning.

Upper Makefield officials said they are continuing search-and-rescue efforts for a family of four consisting of two adults, a two-year-old, and a nine-month-old.
