As in every state, Texas’s program bases the amount given on recipients’ household sizes. Single recipients will get $281, while an eight-person household will receive $1,691, according to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission website.

Dates for distribution are based on recipients’ Eligibility Determination Group number, which users should have already. The payments are directly loaded onto a Lone Star Card, Texas’s alternative to an EBT card, which can be used like a credit card.
