Two men were arrested and charged with selling stolen gas at a closed gas station in Virginia at a discount.

Virginia Beach Police arrested Rashane Griffith, 24, and Devon Drumgoole, 21, Thursday after noticing a suspicious number of cars at a closed Citgo station. Police said two men had devices that allowed them to hack into the pumps. Police have charged Griffith and Drumgoole with selling gas to customers after being paid through an app.

The two stole $14,000 worth of gas, according to Lt. Brad Wesseler.

Griffith and Drumgoole were both charged with grand larceny, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools. Police said they are investigating whether the two targeted only one gas station or several across Virginia. Wesseler said the police are investigating stations in Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads. Since the investigation is ongoing, more charges are pending.

Police said they are still determining whether to charge customers who bought the allegedly illegal gas.
