A slew of celebrities shared their grief over the death of long time Price is Right host Bob Barker.
Barker’s spokesperson said he died from natural causes Saturday at the age of 99. He was most known as the Price is Right host for 35 years, which included 3,524 shows. The program remains the longest-running game show in television history. During his career, Barker’s various television programs awarded $55 million in prizes.

It is so ironic that he my grandson share the same birthday 12/12.”

In 2020, streaming service PlutoTV created a 24-hour channel dedicated to reruns of the program featuring the original host, titling it the Price is Right: The Barker Era. The beloved show on CBS was again nominated for an Emmy for outstanding game show this year with current host Drew Carey.
Barker was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Jo Giden. The pair did not have children. He is survived by his half-brother Kent Valandra.
