The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will wrap up its payments to eligible Indiana residents in three days.
Indiana sends out food stamps from the 5th to the 23rd, on odd days. Recipients usually see their SNAP benefits reloaded on the same day each month, with the date depending on the first letter of the client’s last name.

Eligible households with last names A through S should have already received their payments. SNAP recipients with last names starting with T, U, and V will collect their payments on Thursday. SNAP recipients with last names starting with W, X, Y, and Z will collect their payments on Saturday, the final payment date for September.
Those who become eligible for food stamps either on Sept. 23 or after their last name’s date passes can still collect SNAP benefits for the month of September.
To qualify for food stamps, people must meet a number of requirements, depending on the household and income threshold. In Indiana, the maximum payment for a household of one is $281, and the maximum payment that can be issued by the program is $1,691 for a household of eight. For each additional member, $211 is added to the payment.
