House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is expected to give an update on the looming government shutdown and ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
McCarthy is set to begin shortly after 8 p.m., and his comments come on the same day witnesses were announced in the investigation. McCarthy faces a Sept. 30 deadline to pass spending legislation to avoid a government shutdown.
