A poll found that 59% disagree with the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which dismantled the nationwide right to an abortion.
The CBS/YouGov poll surveyed 2,265 people between June 24-25. A majority of women, 67%, disapproved of the decision. Over 50% saw the decision as a step backward for the court and predicted it will go on to make women’s lives worse.
Many speculated that this decision will lead to more federal limits, with 57% reporting that the Supreme Court has a high likelihood of limiting same-sex marriage and 52% believing in the likelihood that birth control access will be limited.

Republican respondents largely agreed with the decision, with 78% supporting it, while 83% of Democratic respondents disapproved. However, 61% of independent and 77% of Republican respondents reported the decision will have no effect on their prospective likelihood to vote, while 50% of Democratic respondents reported that it will highly affect their likelihood to vote.
