Most recently Trump and Rock appeared together for another UFC fight in April. Rock is about to release a duet rock song with Dolly Parton as part of her upcoming rock album.

The title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic was cancelled due to Jones suffering a pectoral tendon tear injury while training Monday. White announced the heavyweight fight was canceled on Tuesday.

Still two titles were won Saturday, as Alex Pereira won the vacant light heavyweight title and Tom Aspinall won the interim heavyweight title. Pereira, a Brazilian fighter, made history when he won his second title after only seven UFC fights across two years. He previously won the middleweight title, and is the first to have two separate wins in these different weight categories.

“It’s incredible,” White told reporters in the postfight news conference. “I don’t know about an all-time great. But it’s incredibly impressive what he’s done in a short amount of time.”

Trump has been a longtime fan of the UFC. He is in the middle of his reelection campaign ahead of the 2024 election while also juggling four court cases against him in federal and state courts.
