Former Denver Broncos defensive lineman Harald Hasselbach died on Thanksgiving after a six-month battle with cancer.
The 56-year-old two-time Super Bowl champion’s family announced his death on Thursday, noting that he was “free of pain.” The NFL player had been diagnosed with metastatic mucinous adenocarcinoma, according to his family. The Broncos player appeared in 131 games between 1994 and 2000. He also played a role in bringing the Broncos to the Super Bowl two years in a row.
