Comedian Bill Engvall is bidding farewell to California and making his new home in the state of Utah.
This move also means he is partly bidding farewell to his stand-up career. He will be hosting his farewell comedy special Here Is Your Sign It’s Finally Time – My Last Show.

“You know, there was nothing in California that we ever went, ‘Oh my God, we’ve got to get out of here.’… I still have a fondness for California,” he said of his recent move. “And like I said, if work comes, it’s probably gonna come out of LA… I still go back and do TV shows, you know, talk shows and stuff like that.”
The former “The Blue Collar Comedy” tour member lamented that while he doesn’t hate California, he is not a fan of the taxes.
“I had accomplished everything I wanted to do in the business. And then also economically, I mean, the taxes were just becoming insane. And so it was a combination of a lot of things. But I don’t hate California,” he said.

Engvall is a Grammy nominated and platinum selling recording artist. He played in eight episodes of Last Man Standing between 2016 and 2021. Engvall is best know for his comedy routine of “here’s your sign.”
In 2013, he was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars and his first TV role was in an episode of Designing Women.
