A new poll from George Washington University and YouGov outlines a number of obstacles ahead of both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump‘s 2024 White House bids.

The new poll surveyed 1,500 adults between Nov. 7-15 and found that an overwhelming majority of respondents believe that Biden is unfit for office, both mentally and physically. Just 38% said they believe Biden has the “mental soundness to serve effectively as president,” while 35% said the same about his physical health.

For comparison, 48% and 54% said they thought Trump was mentally and physically fit, respectively, to perform the duties of president. Meanwhile, 51% said they thought Trump “provides strong leadership,” compared to 40% who felt the same about Biden.

Still, Biden did lead Trump in a number of critical polling areas, including honesty (46%-36%), morality (49%-35%), and patriotism (56%-54%).

When asked if either candidate “really cares about people like you,” 45% answered Biden while 41% answered Trump, and both men scored virtually the same when respondents were asked if they were “knowledgeable.”

Overall, more than two-thirds of respondents said they believe the country is on the wrong track, and more than half said they felt less financially stable compared to the year prior.

Trump has slowly climbed ahead of Biden in recent polls, with the RealClearPolitics polling average showing the former president leading the current president by 2.6% as of Tuesday morning. Trump has also opened up leads over Biden in five of six battleground states, though Biden still holds a commanding lead in Wisconsin.
