Former President Donald Trumps campaign is out with a new ad on Thursday criticizing President Joe Biden’s handling of border enforcement, a topic that has emerged as one of the administration’s largest vulnerabilities.

The ad, titled “Burning Down,” argues the Biden administration’s “open borders” have allowed terrorists and fentanyl traffickers to enter the country.

“While the world burns, Joe Biden has created a violent threat in our own backyard. Biden’s open border has opened the floodgates to record numbers, including terrorists, fentanyl traffickers, and raises the possibility of a Hamas attack,” a narrator says in the ad.

The ad continues by highlighting Trump’s promise to ensure the border is secure while also constructing a wall on the southern border.

“President Trump had our borders secured, and he’ll do it again by building even more wall and stopping people from terrorist countries from ever entering,” the narrator adds.

During his 2016 campaign, Trump promised over and over again in public remarks that Mexico would pay for the entire wall. While some of the wall was built, Mexico did not pay for it.

The ad comes after Border Patrol processed nearly 50,000 immigrants who entered the U.S. illegally in just five days last week. In November, Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 191,000 immigrants who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border. As many as 10,000 immigrants were apprehended daily at the southern border this month.
