Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo is forgoing a plan to allow abortion-rights organizers to pass out emergency contraceptives to fans at her concerts.

Various abortion-rights organizations had been distributing Plan B contraception pills and condoms at her recent “Guts” show in St. Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday, drawing the attention of multiple social media users. However, Rodrigo’s team has since told the nonprofit organization National Network of Abortion Funds, which partnered with the singer to set up booths at her tour stops in North America, to halt these distributions because “children are present at the concerts,” according to a report.

“The idea that we haven’t been thoughtful or careful in carrying out our work at this event, or any event, is just incorrect,” Right By You founder Stephanie Kraft Sheley said.

Despite this, Prairie Abortion Fund Chairwoman Destini Spaeth has stated it still plans to distribute other items related to information about abortion, such as buttons and hats.

Rodrigo’s concert in Missouri had various packages containing Plan B pills and condoms for guests for free, which included the phrase, “Funding abortion? It’s a good idea, right?” The campaign was Rodrigo’s latest in her “Fund 4 Good” initiative, which she launched when her “Guts” tour started last month.
