Several protesters have been arrested outside the Supreme Court, as justices are scheduled to hear arguments in a case over the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the abortion pill mifepristone.

A group of 13 people were arrested after reportedly blocking a roadway and receiving a warning from U.S. Capitol Police, according to ABC News.

The group “has been moving around Capitol Grounds – illegally blocking roads and then a walkway. Our officers warned the group to stop blocking the walkway or they would be arrested. They refused, so our officers arrested them,” Capitol Police told the outlet.

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments in its first abortion case since conservative justices overturned the constitutional right to an abortion two years ago. At stake in Tuesday’s arguments is the ease of access to a medication that was used in nearly two-thirds of all abortions in the U.S. last year. (AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana)
